Quick disclaimer, this is written by Janell's husband so Janell cannot be held responsible for its content.
After waiting the gestation period of an elephant (18 months) Janell finally decided she had enough and went to Labor & Delivery demanding to be induced. Although she was not actually scheduled to be induced, the Labor & Delivery nurses quickly agreed as Janell explained to them that she could not be held accountable for what she would do if she did not give birth today (Janell is an attorney after all & knows the law). Six hours later ....... Janell gave birth to a grumpy 80 year-old man (just like the movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button").
It is a good thing Janell didn't wait any longer to deliver because she already had the world's biggest baby weighing in at 15.7 lbs (if you don't believe me just look at the picture for evidence).
Actually he was 8 lbs 15 ounces, but he feels like he's fifteen pounds.
I know, the babies "cute-and-all" but what everyone really wants to see is the.........
Placenta! This incredible structure is what allowed the newest member of the Sutherland clan to live and grow for the last nine months. The placenta actually encloses the baby in a sac as evidenced below.
Anyway, back to the baby. He is healthy and fit-as-a-fiddle with all nine fingers and one eye.
We're still deciding on a name however. We're down to three options.
1) Lemonjello Sutherland (Why not name him after Utah's favorite food)
2) Donald Trump Jr. (Good earning potential & possible paternity suit with that one)
3) Einer-Veryl-Newel Sutherland (named after relatives on Mike's side)
Anyway, Scott's personal favorite is Lemonjello.
Finally, the new parents.

Welcome to the world baby Dean. Thanks for posting. He looks like a mighty fine boy. I'm happy you posted the placenta. It just wouldn't be a Sutherland posting without it.
I can't wait to meet Dean and play with Scott.
Love,
Grandma Young

Wow! Well done, Janell! Good job with your assertiveness, too! I know that scene. Rebecca was 20 days overdue. I didn't believe I was really pregnant toward the end of that waiting time.
I hope we can see you all this summer. We love you dearly. Now just relax and ENJOY your precious sons.
Love from Norm and Sara

Great account Mike! We always enjoy Janell's posts, but I can see that you should be posting more often yourself.
Dean sure is big and cute!
Congratulations Scotty, Mike, and Janell, and a big welcome to Dean!

Wonderful! What a cutie! (Is that curly, red hair?) It sounds like you went with "Dean" for the name, although now we am wondering if it is Dean "Lemonjello" Sutherland?
Enjoy your new addition! You all look great!
