Hi! His name is not Lemonjello or Placenta Boy, unfortunately. His name is Dean Alan. Not Dean Martin, although you may address him as Dino. He also responds to Jelly Bean and Baby Bro.
I'm just going to throw more pictures at you, because that's about all I got. Haven't had a chance to edit videos, because some small creature keeps occupying my hands.
Also, thanks for all the nice comments! I believe that was an all-time high of people actually commenting, it was great to hear from people who we never actually talk to... congrats to Matt and Anne on their little princess, and Charles and Laura on impending next baby, and hey! Meg! Hi! My email is firstnamemarriedlastname at yahoo (this blog is still ungoogleable, hopefully, because I work with the crazies in public).
Oh, before I get to the pictures, let me tell you about this newfangled thing called Facebook. I think it might get popular, I'm one of the first people to discover it. Apparently, everyone you've ever known in your entire life is there, waiting to say hello, and they want you to join up. So if you're not there, allow me to pass along a message from your friends - join up! (Seriously, they've been looking for you.) Okay, public service announcement over.
Mike knows how to hold a baby! He looks a little more alert than me moments after Dean was born. Men.
While waiting for the magical drugs to work their magic (did you know pitocin makes you all puffy? Even puffier than regular pregnancy puffiness?), we watched the snow come down all day. Luckily Dean arrived before we had to pick Scott up from daycare (excellent planning on everyone's part), because it would have been difficult to find childcare for him in this weather.
One day old! Scott came to visit us at the hospital, so I changed out of the hospital gown into my fancy pajamas. The visitor's lounge was boring, Scott preferred running up and down the hallway. Soon it was time for him to go home and I went to my room to watch American Idol and eat chocolate covered pretzels (which I had smartly packed in my hospital bag weeks before).
One-day-old closeup.
Then Dean came home and was nicknamed Baby Bro. And then Scott diminuized (diminuitized?) it to Baby Broey. Scott gave Baby Broey a little stuffed polar bear. Anytime Dean is without the polar bear, Scott will say "where's his animal?" and find it and throw it in Dean's general vicinity.
Then Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Matt came to play with Scott. We took him bowling. Scott bowled more than he had ever bowled before, near the end he tried to bowl while keeping his thumb in his mouth, because he was tired.
Grandma and Dean in front of the bowling alley's wall of champions. What 10-day-old doesn't go bowling?
The next day was miniature golfing! Dean and I actually stayed home for this one, 11-day-olds don't golf!
Grandpa helps Scott in the batting cage.
I think this is a motorcycle (simulated).
Scott learns to drive a big rig.
Look! Uncle Matt is a good baby holder!
Dean shows off his blue eyes, infant acne, and hair color of mystery (the camera flash makes it look lighter and redder than it actually appears in person).
Last night, which would be Day 18, Dean models the latest in infant bathtubwear.
Also on Day 18, Scott still loves his baby brother.
*******SPECIAL BONUS FEATURE*****************
While Dean was still cooking, 5 days overdue, in fact, 4 days before I forcefully evicted him, I did a photo shoot with a bunch of other pregnant girls.
Left to right, from furthest along to least, that would be me (and Dean) on the left.

He's so cute! Love the prego pics too! Thanks for the shout-out,we like to get props for being some of your biggest fans :)

Dean is adorable! Wish we were closer so we could see him sooner than September. Scotty looks pretty proud to be a big brother.
