Who goes to Hogle Zoo on Christmas Eve? We do! So does the other red-headed Janelle who went to my high school and spells her name differently, she was at the giraffe house.
Where else will you see a giant egg while standing on a crocodile?
Nowhere!
That lion's head drinking fountain is still there, still not working.
Dean and Scott got a cushy ride.
Mike, the World's Greatest Uncle, led a gaggle of five children around in the snow (Megan not pictured).
Dean would like you to meet the biggest tortoise Scott has ever seen.
Baby giraffe! Snacking on a Christmas tree!
We took a snack break, too.
Hey look! Those long-lost parents and the other sibling showed up! Thank goodness we had a never-ending supply of Grandma's gingerbread cookies to sustain us.
But we needed one more snack before we left the zoo:
Salt N' Vinegar Crick-Ettes. For real. I wish I'd taken a picture of the nutrition label.

Irony of ironies! We have a video to put on our blog showing how to get your 2-year-old to eat more protein, using the Crick-ettes (and we have a photo of the nutrition label). We also had the sour cream and onion flavor. We got our packs at an Indiana Jones museum day at USU's anthropology museum. We just unpacked them the other day (yes, we still have boxes to go through--it's almost like Christmas again now that it's been so long).
